The Coquitlam area has been expanding like crazy with new condos and apartments. Especially in the Tri-Cities area. New restaurants have also popped up in the area due to the expansion. Legend Fish House is one of them. It offers Hong Kong style cafe items from Noodle combos to Hong Kong style milk tea.
For those who have been to Deer Garden Signature’s soup noodles combo, you know exactly what I’ll be talking about. For $7.95 (this was when they first opened – Summer 2015), you choose your noodles, soup base, 2 items, and it comes with a handful of vegetables and a drink. Not bad for a lunch less than $10. You also have the option to add on items for $1.95.
Both deep fried items were battered well and crispy.
Baked pork chop with rice is a fairly standard item you could find at most HK style cafes. I would say that this was fairly authentic at Fish House Legend. A little too tomato-y for my taste but still good. Most combos like this comes with soup of the day and a hot drink (or you could upgrade to a cold drink or a specialty drink)!
I came on a first visit back in Summer 2015 when it just opened and it was filled with people already. I guess if the food is good, no much advertising is required. Although, I’ve had friends say it was only mediocre a few times they’ve went. Guess time will tell if Fish Legend House is to stay. I was pleased overall on my latest visit.
