Came here for Dine Out this year. It’s also the restaurant’s first time to join dine out, so we both weren’t sure what to expect. Just a bit of background of Burnaby Mountain Clubhouse, it is also known by “Mulligan’s House & Bistro”. It was renovated in July of last year, giving it a more hip look & feel. They serve American comfort food on a regular basis and serves up a special menu every now and then. While dining, we had the privilege to meet executive chef, Jason Mok.
Thoughts: $18 for a 3-course menu, this was well worth it!
Freshly made waffle, tomato & jalapeno chutney, sour cream.
Guinness cheddar, bacon, edamame, linguine
Yukon gold roasted garlic mash, market vegetables, green peppercorn sauce
Granny Smith apple, vanilla ice-cream
Oreo cookies, shaved chocolate
- It felt like having two entrees instead of one. The appetizers were quite heavy, however, done quite well.
- An Angus New York steak for $18 (3 course) is a steal!
- For some reason they really know how to make good steaks at golf courses.
- The newly renovated restaurant was spacious and the staffs were attentive and friendly.
