Roadies Burger Bar on Urbanspoon

Since the opening of Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam, there are some additions of food court style food inside the casino. This includes Fú Express, Chip’s Sandwich Shop, and Roadies Burger Bar. Like all casinos, there are mostly cheaper prices on food if you are part of their rewards program. Despite of the two prices, they are still quite expensive. Well, I wanted a burger since 24 hours since my craving and also because I wanted to try something new, I suggested Roadies.

Beer Battered Cod Burger – $7

I got the beer battered cod burger with tartar sauce, lettuce, cheese and tomato on a sesame bun. I combo-ed it up (+$3.25) with Kennebec fries & a drink. The cod was piping hot, however the rest of the burger was rather disappointing. The presentation was unexciting, especially with the cheese unmelted. It felt like a cold sandwiched cod burger. I didn’t really enjoy the Kennebec fries, but maybe that’s just me.

Combo Drinks

The drinks came with the combo and it’s fountain pop. However, my friend and I got the same combo but we go different size cups. How interesting!

Cheeseburger – $7

My girlfriend got the Cheeseburger, which came with Cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and their signature sauce. All their beef patty is a 5oz 100% beef patty. And my girlfriend had the same underwhelming thought about the cheeseburger as my cod burger.

Poutine

My friend got a poutine upgrade from the fries combo for X amount of dollars. The least of a poutine can do is have melted cheese curds, but I guess they gravy was just not hot enough to melt the cheese and with the mediocre Kennebec fries, it was even a thumbs down for someone who has a thing for fried food.

Overall, Roadies Burger Bar was rather a mediocre place for burger in the newly revamped casino. The prices were a bit on the high side (some of the items) and the menu was not exciting. The food was mediocre at most. The atmosphere was like a modern food court with those casino machines in the background. The only service you get is probably the servers bringing food to your table, which was good cause my server asked if I wanted anything else when they dropped off the food.
