House of Tofu Soup
It has been awhile since I have heard of “House of Tofu Soup” but never really drawn interest into coming until till late. We ran out of new Korean restaurants to try, I guess. The first thing you would know when driving into the parkade is how small it is! It will only fit a handful of cars despite the size of the restaurant. We were seated shortly arriving in the restaurant.

Banchan
They had 4 styles of banchan excluding the egg. It’s interesting to note that the size of the dishes for each banchan is different. I hope they didn’t run out of dishwashers. Besides the size, I think the best one I liked was the cold mashed potatoes. (The first time I’ve seen this at Korean restaurants).

Bibimbap
We ordered a bibimbap to share, it was very nicely presented. All your expected ingredients is there. It was sizzling hot when served on the table.

Tofu soup
The bibimbap came with a soup, which is not likely in other restaurants.

Beef Tofu Soup (White)
We also ordered one of their tofu soup. I was expecting high hopes for their tofu soups, mostly because of the name. It came bubbling hot when served, it was great to pick the level of hotness (white, mild, regular, hot, extra hot). The tofu was alright, not the smoothest tofu I’ve had. The soup tasted alright as well. Nothing special to rave about. The soup came with a bowl of rice.
Overall, House of Tofu Soup was quite the “okay” restaurant. It didn’t give us a lasting impression that we will return. The food was not bad. The service was not bad, however, there were these high wall separators that gave us a hard time to look for the server for our bill. The prices are average among other Korean restaurants in the area. The restaurant is big despite its small parking lot. Ambiance is average.
