Sticky Rice Thai

Sticky Rice Thai
My girlfriend and I stopped by here for a quick lunch as we were in the area for a conference on a Saturday afternoon. It was fairly quiet with only a handful of tables occupied, but it was just around noon when we walked in.
We ordered two lunch specials, the service was extremely prompt and food came out blazing fast as we told our server that we were in a hurry.

Salad
First up is the salad, which comes with all lunches. The salad was fresh and topped with coconut dressing.

Chicken Pad Thai - $9
My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, fried rice noodles with bean curds, eggs, bean sprouts and roasted peanuts on the side. The portions could be bigger, but it was fair for a single serving. The ingredients were found to be fresh and taste wasn’t bad either. However I wouldn’t drive out all the way to South Surrey just to come here, as there are equally good Pad Thai’s in the Tri-Cities area.

Panang Curry Chicken - $10

Panang Curry Chicken
The Panang Curry is served with cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and pepper. Served with steamed rice. The Panang curry had a very strong sense of sweet coconut paste in it, which was thrilling. The curry was more on the watery side, but the taste was superb. I could have easily finished the entire dish.

The Bill
We were in and out in half an hour. So, they were fast. The total bill came to about $21, which was quite the same price if I were to go somewhere similar in Coquitlam. Overall, they surprised me with their quick service. The food was decent and the ambiance was quite charming. It’s even got a stage for Friday night dancing.
